PDF of MPs letter to Iraqi ambassador
Thursday, February 27, close to 100 Yezidi came from all over Ontario and the U.S. to plead for Canada and the world to stop the execution of two innocent Yezidi young men.
The wind, snow and freezing temperatures were horrific but far more terrifying was the complete lack of interest by the media who sat inside the big warm Ontario Queen’s Park building, not caring enough to help us even after 5 years of ignoring this latest Genocide almost completely.
The information was posted for them and I personally called two major TV stations. We watched each other, just drive by in front of our freezing Yezidis many of whom were survivors of this recent Genocide.
The letter below addresses the case of one Yezidi young man and another has now also come to our attention.
“To be a man is, precisely, to be responsible. It is to feel shame at the sight of what seems to be unmerited misery. It is to take pride in a victory won by one’s comrades. It is to feel, when setting one’s stone, that one is contributing to the building of the world.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
