Police in Halton region say they’re responding to an “active scene” at a Burlington chiropractic clinic where at least two people may have been injured.

Officials have provided few details about the incident but photos from the scene show several Halton Regional Police cruisers and ambulances outside a plaza in a residential area on 195 Plains Road East.

A witness at the scene told CTV News Toronto that the police presence is “very large.”

According to a CTV News Toronto photojournalist at the scene, two ambulances have already left the scene to transport victims to a nearby hospital. The extent of their injuries is unclear.

A nearby resident said he was told that there was a shooting in the area, though police have not confirmed if that is in fact the case.

The area surrounding the plaza has been closed off. Officers are reportedly not letting patrons out of the nearby shops as they tend to the scene.
